On January 26th & 27th 2006 Walker Diving was contracted to perform the underwater video inspection of the north and south fire pump intakes located at the Amerada Hess Corporation, Port Reading Terminal in Woodbridge, NJ. Walker was additionally requested to attempt to locate and recover a missing intake basket from the bottom of one of the pumps and to make accurate measurements of the fire pump intake areas. High pressure water blasting to clean off one of the pump intakes was also performed, as the intake was found to be heavily fouled with marine growth and debris. Upon completion Walker Diving provided a copy of the video inspection along with a written report of findings to the owners, including recommendations for fabrication/installation of new intake trash rack, screen systems for both the northern and southern areas.
